An inch or two from Diabetes?

Hemel MP, Mike Penning was present at the Diabetes UK awareness day in Parliament this week. The main message was was to draw attention to waist measurement as being a high risk factor for Type 2 diabetes melitus. Diabetes UK’s Measure Up awareness campaign tells people to take a tape measure and measure their waist as a quick and easy way assess their risk of contracting diabetes.

Measure Up is supported by Rosie Winterton MP Minister of State for Health Services with responsibility for diabetes issues, and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes.
